RESEARCH REPORT – WB-002

WRITTEN BY: Dr. Hank Lariset

To say I’m suspicious of these “Weird Brothers” blog posts is an understatement. It’s a little too coincidental that these old posts, which just happen to fill in blanks we’ve been wondering about for years, are resurfacing out of nowhere. Who’s behind this? And why did we never catch on to these posts back in 2009 and 2010? I’ll proceed with analysis of the posts, as requested, but this whole situation just has me wary.

Here are the facts we can deduce from the “Weird Brothers” investigation into The Demo Tapes, an EP by the band Vacant Daybreak (i.e. Conduit SF-102):

  1. At some point in the future (likely 2032), the lead singer of Vacant Daybreak murdered his ex-girlfriend, Olivia Robella. He admits to the murder in the lyrics to the song “Confessions of a Heartbreak King.”

  2. Sometime after this, an unknown civilian (referred to hereafter as John Doe) used Conduit SA-008 to travel to the year 2010, taking SF-102 with him. Note: the EP was likely not a conduit until after it was transported this way.

  3. John Doe either lost SF-102 or purposefully abandoned it, leading to its acquisition by a teenage Robella.

  4. Robella posted about SF-102 on social media and revealed that she was named in the murder confession. Online chatter about the song went viral, and amateur sleuths tried to track down their own copies of the EP.

  5. SF-102 somehow ended up in the hands of Facebook user MTSunrise. This user’s attempts to listen to the EP resulted in the first documented effects of the conduit (see SF-102 Official Report).

  6. The “Weird Brothers” tracked down MTSunrise and ultimately acquired SF-102, but were pursued by John Doe.

  7. John Doe convinced Sanford and Johnson to return SF-102, after which he boarded a trolley and used SA-008 to make another trip through time, displacing the entire trolley and its contents and likely resulting in the creation of Conduit SF-157.

  8. On 3/5/17, RC agents discovered SF-102 lying on a sand dune below the Cerulean Shores Hotel.

My thoughts:

  • The timeline is an absolute mess thanks to SA-008, but I have a feeling John Doe acquired the conduit from Operative Chaudhary (who seems to be handing them out like candy, if SA-016 is any indication). Is he related to the operative, or a total stranger? SA-008 is easily one of the most powerful conduits we’ve seen, and if Operative Chaudhary let it fall into the hands of some nobody, it would be remarkably negligent - but then again, maybe the intent was to sow chaos. We just don’t know.

  • The fact that SF-102 made its way from John Doe to the teenage Olivia Robella, combined with John Doe’s own confessions to the Weird Brothers, seems to indicate that John Doe knew Robella’s future self. He may be the “other man” that the future Robella was seemingly unfaithful with (as mentioned in the Track 1 lyrics).

  • This is likely quite a stretch, but I suspect MTSunrise is not just a random Facebook user who stumbled across SF-102 by chance - rather, he may be intricately linked to the band associated with this conduit.

MTSunrise → Empty Sunrise → Vacant Daybreak

There’s likely even more to uncover from this latest “Weird Brothers” investigation, so I’ll keep perusing the site and cross-referencing any observations with known conduit effects. I may not trust the hand scattering the breadcrumbs here, but I think we’d be fools if we didn’t follow the trail, at least for now.
